I have used eDonkey for a few years now and never had any problems with it. I have heard over and over again that emule and emule plus is a way better program to download files with. I recently tried emule plus but it kept crashing my system. I'm wondering the reason for this. Is it more of an intense program? Any advice would help, as I would like to continue using this software.

Thanks

u will have to provide more info of your system to be able helping u.
and try to describe the problem as detailed as possible (like does it reboot or what)
standard specs like os, cpu, mem should be given.
then your type of internet-connection is of interest (dsl, router, whatever).
along with connection-setting of emule+ (max.connections, per 5 sec,...)

My computer specs are as follows: P3 500 MHZ, 256MB Ram, Windows XP Home. I have a broadband connection through a router (Linksys). What happends is the the computer is running fine and then all of a sudden the screen goes black and then it reboots back to the desktop. I have left all of the settings in emule alone (did not change from the default). If you need more info let me know.

Thanks

It worked fine for about 18 hours then it started crashing. A blue screen comes up with white writing that says...

Tech info: *** Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x00000400, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF98F06D1)

*** NDIS.SYS - Address F98F06D1 base at F98D7000, Date stamp 3D6DC4C3

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete

It also says befor this information that if you installed new hardware or new software it might be the cause for this. Try uninstalling the software. eMule is the only software I have installed in the last month.

ndis.sys belongs to nic-driver. try updating them.
what networkcard is it and which driverversion have u used now?

lowering max.connections migth be worthy, too.
