Ok been using emule plus for quite a short time now and finding it excellent for both uploading and downloading, however I get maybe 2 or 3 messages per night/day saying I'm sorry you dont understand the concepts of file-*sharing*.

I take it this means im getting a 60 min ban from there que as thir client belives me to be an aggressive client or leecher :<

my current u/l:d/l ratio is 1.31 : 1 (1:1.06) I think thats ok? taking as much as im giving?

so could anyone throw any light as to why I get these messages?

P.s yes I know i could just switch of messaging but it bugs me

someone has stolen your userhash....can happen to anyone really..and the client is calling you the thief instead of the real one by mistake.
Nothing that big to worry about.

You could delete userhash.dat and preferences.dat to no longer get this message, but you lose credits gained and theres no way to stop this in the future so might as well keep your current credits.

Just have "ban" under message filter.

Please make sure to search the board first. Theres a lot of these threads, so it shouldnt be too hard to find an answer in one of those

Thanks, have since searched and read those threads, perhapse if its so frequently asked it could be added to the frequently asked questions that I trawled through before posting.

I hope an admin see's this lol. We're all busy with Emule stuff and RL stuff, so if the FAQ does get an update it might take a while.

I don´t think that this is something for the Plus FAQ, since it comes from any client (nobody even knows which mod sends that message) and has actually nothing to do with Plus (other clients receive that message too, there was a thread in official forum about it).
