i have tried it three times now

the first time it was left for three hours unatended and failed to connect to a server
the second time after 20 minutes cajoling i got it to connect only to wait a further 20 minutes for all my stored sources to slowly appear
the third and final time left it after starting for half an hour to come back and find it had locked pc solid

shame - back to 1e though - still stable as anything smile.gif

That is plain odd smile.gif

Have you got it firewalled somehow?

IMO this is by far the greatest eMule ever ...
I could repeat what I wrote internally but I'll spare you for that laugh.gif

Please provide some info about your sys smile.gif

When you load emule up, are all your files paused?

hi guys thanks for the comments

first details of setup are in sig and nothing has changed on my system between versions
yes i have a firewall zonealarm but have updated through enough versions to know to allow everything the first time it starts
my files are never paused and at the moment there are only 6 downloading

tried one more time with exact same results re slow connection to server and releasing of known sources

so i copied the exe only from 1e back into main directory having removed from zonealarm just to force the issue of allowing again and it connected in seconds and sources started becoming available straight away

odd indeed unsure.gif

Hi
is it a chance that it can be something down ntl's system which can be doing this?.
Ive been having upload problems with them for the past 3 weeks, sometimes i can connect 85 percent of the time, othertimes i can't as my upload seems to die.

Thats odd.

Just wondering, have you noticed any dips in your upload stream (you can check the graphs in the stats for this) around 5pm - 9pm? This is usually the time when my uploads starts dropping and I can barely use emule and the net.

I figured it might have been NTL doing UBR maintenance, but i'm not quite sure.
EDIT: Speeds have definitely dropped and ping has gone up.
Here's a thread of my problem: http://emuleplus.sourceforge.net/forum/ind...1&t=1529&hl=ubr

Your the only user I know who uses ntl that I know of, so if you can help or know any causes, I'd be grateful. Cheers smile.gif

@homerjay!
Have you tryed clean install, ofcourse save usefull files (e.g userhash)
I had same problem with connecting, so I made a clean install and now it's ok
When you connect check serverinfo for error's

thats ok biggrin.gif
remember to keep more than just the userhash files when you uninstall the emule program, and to keep all your temp files.
