And here we go again!

I knew it's here somewhere, but I could'nt find it.

In the Log under the Server-Tab i've got the following message (10-15 times)

DarkMule v6' scheint ein aggressiver Client zu sein und wurde von der Uploadwarteliste (Hash Räuber) gebannt

A rough translation:

XXX seems to be an agressiv client and was banned from the UL-list (Hash-Thief).

One time I got a "Leecher-MOD / Promotor" for the Hash-Thief. ph34r.gif

What#s the meaning of this message? Is there any danger (for my DL or my PC)? unsure.gif

btw: in the serverinfo-window I got the message

"ERROR : Connection refused : your IP is currently blacklisted by the server.

What have I done to get such a treatment? And how do I get from the blacklist?

Let's see if i can help you out some... (;

One time I got a "Leecher-MOD / Promotor" for the Hash-Thief. ph34r.gif
Those are messages from the anti'leecher function in action... Basically it tells you that it has stopped someone from doing something bad... such as stealing your userhas or so.. (;
If you don't like these messages, you can turn them of... Preferences / Advanced / Do Not Log Countermeasures (last on that page (: )

XXX seems to be an agressiv client and was banned from the UL-list (Hash-Thief).
this is either the same as the above.. but could also be so that this person has asked his mule to connect to many times in to few minutes... but as it says (Hash-Thief) i guess it's the anti'leecher in function again. .(;

As long as eMule+ stops them.. there is NO danger... and the only danger otherwise is that someone might steal your credits... sad.gif So that when you start to download from someone that you have uploaded much to... you won't get any + for all those uploads...

"ERROR : Connection refused : your IP is currently blacklisted by the server.
well...
there are a number of things you could have done... This blacklisting function is something that the creators of the serversoftware made to protect the server from overload...
have a look on this page - http://www.ed2k.ch/modules/xoopsfaq/index.php?cat_id=5
it explains how it works.. unfortunately it's in french, but i know there is some button there that should turn it to english (or maybe german?).. if you can't read french...
The blacklisting will be in effect for some hours, then you will be able to connect to the server once more... (; How long you are blacklisted and what you do to get it.. depends on what server you're on.. as each server can be configured to allow different things...

Hope this helps you out, and didn't make it worse for you.. (;

Yup!
cool.gif

And i'm quite happy about the Anti-Leeching Thing. But since I didn't check the "Do Not Log Countermeasures"-Box, i'm not sure why I get this messages (there are now up to 50 for six or seven clients), but... smile.gif
The french page is in work as I type this (I'm not the french-typ, but I will try.
So, thanks a lot!

Untill next time

Itīs quite simple:
normally countermeasures are logged (like anything else is logged)

If you check the box "Do not log countermeasures", countermeasures are not logged.

Thatīs it, I donīt understand the confusion smile.gif

hehehe....
agreed... but maybe it's because... if you want extra feedback.. you click button 1.. if you want hash'stealing feedback.. you don't click button 2... wink.gif

can see how this can become "disturbing"... smile.gif
