just a question about being blacklisted by servers. i share well over 100 files and have been using emule+ for quite sometime. any of the larger servers that i connect to, it always comes back with lost connection. any help would be great.

How many files do you download ?
Itīs a too high number of download (> 30) that gets you blacklisted, not the nr. of files you share (that kicks you off the server if > about 500 - x depending of the server you try to connect to). And make sure that 'Safe connect' is enabled ! |

If your currently blacklisted, then best not to try connect for a while. Otherwise you'll add additional time to the blacklisted time already.

ppl get blacklisted because they cause an excessive strain to the servers...this can caused by source finding, searching, and the other things above.

Well if I understood you correctly then it's probably because of what you said earlier:
Trying to download any more than about 30 files at a time will probably get you blacklisted on many servers. Make sure you have at least 40 of your files paused or stopped and then wait a few hours and try connecting again. This post has been edited by thisIsRandom: Sep 10 2003, 08:36 |
