Hello,
i try to download some XXX-Movies.mpg, (yes i confess this, i see this kind of movies wink.gif )
in the transfer window i see some users with:
Client filename: english_wizard_trainee.avi , Name_of_a_Rockband.mp3
(I have replace the original filenames)

Is this normal ? Is there a filter for this somewhere in the options which i oversight ? If there is no filter, why not ?

Peter

laugh.gif Yes, it's very normal. Many users are embarrassed to have files with explicit filenames on their computers and try to hide them by renaming them with innocuous sounding names.

And there is even more fun when someone uses the search function to find this english_wizard_trainee.avi or Name_of_a_Rockband.mp3 and is surprised what he gets w00t.gif

geobio: I'm with you on that. IMO no kid should be allowed unrestricted/ unsupervised access to the internet. My recommendation is that only one computer in the house should be connected to the internet, and that computer should be kept in a family space, like the living room. Lack of privacy is an excellent deterrent. wink.gif

btw, this is one discussion (for a change tongue.gif ) that could have been conducted in the ShoutBox.
