1. TCP Not working and I'm getting a low ranking or whatever. I have a Netgear Wireless Router (WGR614) that I'm using wired and I know how to do Port Forwarding on my Router just fine. Now with eMule, there was an option to test that I always bomb. No clue why unless my provider is randomly blocking ports... but I set it up with a port that I know works (ie, I just tested it) and it still bombs on that stupid test. I even followed the instructions over at www.portforwarding.com and still no dice. Now I'll give you that you can't test it with eMule+ (that I can see) so I don't know for sure that it's bombing with this software as well. So I could be getting low ranking notices for something else. 2. No Previews I recall eMule had an option to optimize downloads to try and grab the first/last part so you can do previews more likely. I don't see any options in eMule+ after looking like 4 times through all the settings that would do this. Needless to say, every time I try to preview a download, it just doesn't happen. It's greyed out. Anything I can do to fix this? 3. Not Sharing (or hiding) Downloads/Downloaded Files This is absolutely vital. I don't want to be sharing something I'm in the middle of downloading (with no preview no less!) or something that has completed downloading until I've approved it and verified it. Call me paranoid, but after downloading some really mislabeled pedo stuff, I shudder to think what would happen if it just sat there on my computer shared for a week or something. That paranoia aside, with other P2P programs, it's absolutely vital to verify a download prior to sharing it. It's this AutoShare type features that gets so many misnamed, broken or Verification files loose on these p2p systems. I mean my rep is at stake. If I'm sharing a file called "College kid pukes in beer and drinks it", then it better damned well be a movie of a drunk dude puking in his bear and not some 40yr old ho giving head or animated ponies saving the world. Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated |
