Computer configuration:
eMule Plus version: 1.2
Using proxy: No
Firewall: Yes
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2,2 GHz)
Memory: 2 GB
Operating System: Windows XP SP2
Updated drivers
for network and video:
Yes

Many thanks for the great work on the new eMule Plus release!

Is it save to assume that updating from 1.2 to 1.2a by simply extracting the zip file over the existing installation (excluding ipfilter.dat and staticservers.dat) will work as it should? Will it keep all settings, credits and files in the download queue?
Just checking because of the changed file formats.

It is safe, software will silently convert what is required. Every single setting should be exactly the same after upgrade.

As noted in the release you might see minor problems if you revert to an old version (1.2 or older). But upgrading to the new one shouldn't have any issues.

You should have installed the new version into the same folder where the previous version was installed. Seems like you have installed to a different folder. No worries; just close the client if running, copy the contents of the config folder of the old installation and paste them into the new config folder.
