In the regular emule, to go to the temporary files, one left-clicked on the donkey icon. In emule-plus, nothing happens...I just finished downloading a file and I don't know where it is to be found and how to open it. And I tried to search for topics on this but I couldn't find any. I'd appreciate some help. Thanks in advance. |

When a file completes, it will show up in the shared files page. It will be found in the destination folder set for the file, the default being the incoming folder.

Muleteer, thanks for the response...but my problem is that when I started using emule-plus, I didn't designate any folder for completed files, thinking that I can easily get to the incoming folder by left-clicking on the donkey icon, like in the regular emule. I've just completed one file and, to my surprise, I cannot go to the emule incoming folder to view/open that file.
What do I do now? Thanks in advance for any suggestion. |

In eMule, click on Preferences, then General/Directories. "Incoming files:" shows where complete files are copied by default.
On top of that: 1) in the downloading list (if a files is still there), right click on a file and select "Open containing folder" 2) in the shared files list ("Shared Files" icon on the toolbar), find your completed file there, then look in the last column of that list -- it's called "Folder". It contains the incoming directory for this file. Plus you can right click on it and select "Open containing folder" context menu as well; or you can hover your mouse over this file, a tooltips buble will appear after a while showing a lot of details about a file including the directory. |

oh please, can you help me?
i've found the "incoming" folder, but it doesn't work (or so it seems). i'm going to explain you my problem. when a download is finished, it appears green marked. the directory of the green-marked downloaded files is C:\Program Files (x86)\eMule\Incoming\, as it is certified both from right-button clicking and from the "shared files" list. but the "incoming" folder is empty! (well, nearly empty. actually, the folder has been working during the first downloading session, going off from the second on) (sorry for my english: i'm italian) (sorry for poking in: this is the first time i take part in a forum) |

I think you are being hit with a security issue in Windows. This is being discussed here:
http://emuleplus.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=11490 Changing UAC settings seems to fix this, but Home Premium versions might still have issues. http://emuleplus.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=11546 Also, check the properties of the folder (go up one step in explorer and right click>properties. If the folder size shows that the files might still be there, perhaps setting folder options to show hidden files and folders, and also not hide protected and operating system files might help. Related: if you can see the file but are not able to open it, right click>properties and unblock. |

juliaskameron, that is the case for most programs but for eMule, the default is the incoming folder created in the same folder that contains the proram executable, i.e. emule.exe. You can see the destination folder path in preferences> general> directories: incoming
You can change this destination folder to point to any folder by changing the path specified there, i.e. in preferences> general> directories. Avoid using system folders for this purpose - documents, downloads, program files, windows, are examples of protected system folders and will give trouble with some operating systems. It is highly advisable to create a different folder, preferably on another partition or even a different hard drive if you have more than one. |
