No, that shouldn´t be a problem.
Any (auto-)paused files (though this problem should be solved) ?

Any paused files I have are manually paused by me. No other files have been automatically paused.

My system dropped in speed and had to reboot it again. Will check to see if VM increases again.

Hi,

same here. Memory usage: 750 MB after some hours and rising.

E+ responding, but not closable, process needs to be killed.

Upload speed is out of control (4k more than E+ displays atm)

I have similar problems from time to time, and I think there are several causes.

One thing that helped for me was to limit eMule to run on one CPU only. Is this fixed, I set this a couple of versions ago? Would be great if it was fixed, my machine does not run well that way.

Another thing which helps is periodic scheduled restarts every five days or so.

I can't see any pattern to when it happens, I think it is some kind of odd memory leak.

When it happens, the CPU that eMule is running on get stuck on almost 100% load, and eMule slowly starts to eat memory.

The wierd thing is that I run eMule on two machines, one for sharing/downloading rare files which I want to complete fast, one for long lists of files that I want but don't need right now and for sharing the bulk of my files. I only get this problem on one of the machines (which should be more or less identical, except for minor details like size and number of disks and NIC model). None of them run any firewall and both have full access to the internet through public IP's. Both run W2k server. The one that causes problems has longer DL-list and larger share, but not enough to reasonably be the cause of this problem.

Even when it works as it should, it would be nice if the memory footprint could be reduced. It uses way to much memory for a background app, more than all other software I run on my server put together (web server, ftp server, mail server, virus scanner, watchdog and some more). If data isn't dynamic enough to warrant keeping it in memory, put it on disk.

Oh, by the way, you can close eMule, you just have to be patient. It can take 20 minutes or more depending on how far it has gone.

I've had this too.. sometimes even at the startup of emuleplus.. but strangely here it only causes the processor to go to full speed, mostly when some other process is using a lot of processor power.

I've never had memory leaks, but then again.. my mule is not running more then 14 hours in one run.

When I check emule while it's stressing my processor.. the trayicon will not respond, after about 10 minutes it responds again..and the overhead notification on the 'download' graph next to the preferences button is at maximum.. looks kind of strange blink.gif

If there is anything I can do to help, any test the devs want me to run, just ask and I'll see what I can do.

This problem is a bit annoying to me since it also kills my web, ftp and mail servers running on the same machine when I run out of memory.

If you have dumps send them if you can.

Also im not sure if this bug is truly confirmed yet maybe because its not reproducable...so if it occurs and you know what might be causing it (or what events you did to cause it) then by all means smile.gif
