PM-BAckUp - DOWNLOAD
You can use PM-BAckup to create backups of your eDonkey?s or eMule?s *part.met - files. Loosing them often forces you to download the whole file again and recovering them is not always safe or even does not work. So better back ?em up!
PM-BAcKup also has an auto-backup function that does the whole job for you. You can control this function from the tray-icon, too. If your donkey-client has crashed the auto-backup will stop backing up the *.part.mets because they could be faulty. PMB recognizes the status of every eDonkey2000 and eMule-Client available. This assures that faulty ones do not overwrite the backup-files. This tool can also be used to restart eMule Plus in case of a crash. To look for what else it does see history.txt.

This program can check your eMule client and even write some data on an image, which you can upload via FTP to your web space. You can find more information in the readme.txt that comes along with the package.

DivFix - DOWNLOAD
This program was created to be able to watch partially downloaded DivX (AVI) movies. (Not compatible with XviD) It can rebuild or strip the index part of the movie. There is also basic error detection, which can detect serious errors in the audio/video stream. You must have the beginning and end parts of the file for this program to work.
This program has an easy to use GUI that supports drag & drop and allows you to process multiple files at once. Note that this utility does not include its own media player so after using it you must manually open the video in your media player of choice.

VLC (VideoLAN Client) - DOWNLOAD
VLC is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, XviD, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.
More importantly than that VLC allows you to preview your video files as they are being downloaded WITHOUT creating a backup file! (This allows you to uncheck the "Create backup to preview" option in eMule, which will result in your video preview launching almost immediately!) This combined with the fact that the program is Open source and updated often makes it the recommended media player for previewing videos in eMule Plus.

AviPreview by AJ - DOWNLOAD (Different than AviPreview)
This is a very nice program similar to VLC. It is a media player designed specifically for playing partially downloaded movies, which it can do while they are still downloading without creating a backup copy. For it to work you must have the beginning and end parts. Recently the author has introduced a new "iO Media Player" which includes many additionally features but also requires that you purchase the full version. As a result there has been no recent development on his AviPreview software but it is still currently available free for download.

AviPreview - DOWNLOAD (AviPrevew is under software category)
(Also sometimes referred to as AviPreviewC and is different than AviPreview by JC)
AviPreview is a utility that enables you to view some of the video content of DivX3 or generic MPEG-4 (i.e. DivX4, DivX5, XviD etc.) AVI files when the file has become corrupt and you no longer have the start or end parts. AviPreview will save a movie out to a separate AVI file, made up of scenes that it managed to salvage from the corrupt file, so you can see what was in the file and decide whether or not to keep the corrupt movie. The current version also supports audio detection and extraction for MPEG and AC3 codecs. This utility operates completely from the command-line but others have created GUIs for it that are listed below.
Just in case you didn't catch it above, this utility allows you to preview videos including the sound even WITHOUT the beginning or end of the file! It is the only program we are currently aware of that allows you to do this! (Currently eMule requires these parts be downloaded for a its built-in preview feature to work.) Note: Without the beginning & end of the file video playback quality can NOT be guaranteed and therefore is NOT a good indication of picture and audio quality or whether the audio is in sync.

eDwatch - DOWNLOAD
eDwatch is a tool for the eDonkey2000 and Overnet networks (Works with eMule). It gives you information about your current eDonkey2000/Overnet downloads, and lets you preview the videos you are currently downloading. This tool has a very unique feature called "Static video preview" which allows you to preview a still shot from any point in the video you've downloaded even if you don't have the beginning and end! (This is a new feature that may not work perfectly but is currently under development.) Normal previewing is supported through the use of AviPreview & AviPreview by JC. A nice and simple GUI interface is provided for AviPreview (One of the better ones) and you can get it to use VLC instead of AviPreview by JC if you prefer. In my opinion this is by far the best preview tool to compliment eMule Plus!

MetMedic - DOWNLOAD
This is a program for analyzing the .met files that eMule creates. Good for nosy people. It will process the known.met file and show you all the information on your shared files, current and past. From this you can export lists of ed2k links, generate checksums for your files, export all the information in spreadsheet format. As well as, of course, plaintext link lists.
In the clients.met you can see all of the users and their transferred amounts, and associated credits. This is an approximate figure, and is a basis for how fast people negotiate your upload queue. You can also merge the contents of multiple clients.met files.
In the downloads section you can view your currently queued downloads. With a whopping big progress bar at the bottom, showing part boundries. It also supports previewing supported through the use of AviPreview & AviPreview by JC. A GUI interface is provided for AviPreview and you can get MetMedic to use VLC instead of AviPreview by JC if you prefer.
Lately it has added support to recreate .part.met files that get corrupted by freak accidents or monster invasions. This is tricky but possible. More support for this will be built into later versions of eMule with any luck. Instructions are provided for this recovery process step by step in the program.

DonkeyDoctor - DOWNLOAD
A utility designed specifically to work with the .met files created by eDonkey/eMule clients. Best known for its ability to test .met files and recover your downloads after part.met corruption due to a crash. (Ideally it can recover your downloads in a single step without forcing you to temporarily restart the download like MetMedic does!) With this utility you can also view and modify detailed information within your .met files including Filename, Type, Status, Priority, Last Seen date, partial hashes and more. Other features include hashing files to create PART.MET files, Importing & Exporting, Viewing Chunks, and creating some form of .met report.
Note: The website and application are in Spanish but there is a English language pack for the program available to download. When you initially run the program it will want to be configured. The top box should be your eMule directory, the second box your Incoming folder, the third box your Temp folder, and the last box is where you specify the Language file. After configuring these options press OK and restart the program so the language will be updated.
Note 2: The creator of DonkeyDoctor worked with the Plus team with the intention of making v1b totally compatible with DonkeyDoctor's Recover Met option but unfortunately it is still not working correctly. (It generates an error: "Not found in .Known.MET. Possible file corruption or no complete chunk.") As a result a little more work must be done to recover any downloads lost due to part.met corruption but it is still possible. Please refer to this thread for details, or alternately use MetMedic which will automate a step or two until this issue is resolved.

ID-IP Calculator - DOWNLOAD
With this little utility you can calculate the ID you should have when your connection to the eD2k-Network is properly configured. Just type in your actual IP (given by your ISP) and your eDonkey-ID will be calculated.

eDonkeyID - DOWNLOAD
Simple, really. just a little tool to convert an ID to an IP and vice versa. Probably useless for most people, but I find it handy (occasionally!)

ed2k_hash - DOWNLOAD
ed2k_hash is a little command line utility that takes any number of files and outputs their ed2k-links in either standard or HTML format. This tool is useful for people who want to know the ed2k-links of files they are not currently sharing, or who want the ed2k-links for all files in certain directories etc. You can hash single files, multiple files, whole directories, or whole directory trees.
Thanks to Jerome Laheurte there is also an up-to-date Windows command line version of ed2k_hash now available along with a Windows GUI and Windows Explorer Context menu feature.

ProgRunner - DOWNLOAD

Security Blocklist Converter - DOWNLOAD
With this conversion tool you can build the file ipfilter.dat updated by the lists of cDonkey and PeerGuardian 2 IP filtering services. This services indexes all the IP networks used for monitoring and/or disrupting p2p networks.

DonkeyMan - DOWNLOAD
DonkeyMan is an application that helps you manage your eDonkey2000 downloads. It allows you to make backups of your partially downloaded files in case something goes wrong, it can preview partially downloaded movies, and it has a few other handy features such as copying ed2k links to the Clipboard. It can also create simple web pages of your current downloads for sending to friends. As well as all this, it gives you up-to-the-minute information about your downloads, for example Elapsed time and Average rate. It analyses the files that eDonkey creates; the .part and .met files found in your eDonkey temp folder.

Ed2k link catcher - DOWNLOAD
This tool allows you to add downloads to emule from another computer on your LAN or the Internet, just by clicking on an ed2k link. You could click on an ed2k link when your at work/school/another pc and the files will be added to an emule on another pc in the world. If more then one user share a common internet connection, more then one eMule will cause a lot of traffic on the line. Why shouldn't you share your eMule? So you can avoid stressing your connection capacity. If you already have a common server to share your printer, your connection or any other service, you can also run eMule on it. So you can save a little energy, because eMule is only effective operating 24 hours 7 days a week - maybe your existing server allready have this up times. However in a normal case eMule requires a log-in user to operate. And a server which requires a logged-in user is a bad server.

nRepart - DOWNLOAD
With this tool you can convert new eDonkey 2000 hybrid client (or Overnet) format to the standard one part-file format eMule Plus uses. This is a command line tool and you need only to place it in the eDonkey 2000 temp directory and run it with the part-file number as parameter (ie. "repart 1"). The resulting "1.x" files will be added to eMule Plus downloads after you place them in its temp directory (while being shut). You will need free space as the conversion doesn't remove the old files.

dmTorrent2Part - DOWNLOAD
An utility to convert files which have been started to download with BitTorrent to .PART and .PART.MET set of files used by eMule Plus so they can be finished in the eDonkey network. You must have the eLink of the file you want to complete and make sure that the eLink fits the torrent you want to complete (by checking the file size). You must also have the .TORRENT file (when you click on the link to download the torrent, press the right button and choose "Save target as...").

ftp2donkey - DOWNLOAD
This is a little tool, which allows you to resume your broken FTP/ICQ/IRC transfers with eDonkey. As long as you got the first part of your file, and know the eDonkey link, you can create the necessary .PART and .PART.MET file with this little program.
