Hi Guys

I was downloading [tut tut] which was about 743 MB in size and it was done 95%. Just then light went off and my younger cousin who was playing a game at that time skipped the Check Disk Utility
when the power came back.

and that's it. emule started and shown the message

" Unexpected file error while reading 010.part.met (): œk "

Then I restarted the computer and got the disk checked for errors and it truncated the 010.part.met file and when the computer started the 010.part.met was missing. From emule's Temp folder.

Now there are 4 files in emule's Temp folder related to Windows Xp download. Which are given below.

010.part
760,979 KB

010.part.met.bak
2 KB

010.part.met.tmp
0 KB

010.part.settings
1 KB

010.part.stats
18 KB

and now it is not reading that download.

That was the whole detail of my misery.

Now any help will be highly appreciated.

Can anyone save my 700 MBs.

Thank You.

Make an additional copy of all files, then rename 010.part.met.bak into 010.part.met and start eMule+.

Do you have backup option enabled in eMule+?

It worked Thanks A Lot.

Thanks again for saving my 700 MBs.

No, I have not enabled the Backup option in eMule 1j

I forgot to write in the post that my version of eMule is 1j.

I recommend to enable it for *.dat, *.met, *.ini, *.part.met files. That can help some day wink.gif.

BTW, the last version is 1k.
