I've some friends with an invalid ident in my buddylist, I know they are the real persons and I just got a wrong/faked ident from someone else and now they have to pay for.
Since I dont how the secure ident works here the question. Is it possible to somehow fix this w/o he or me have to change the hash? Could it be possible to save the ident that was received and discovered as invalid, and add a new action to the friend-menu where I can say "use this clients ident for this hash"? Would that work? (ok, no code in this post, but maybe someone has some for me |

I am/was the opposite client.
Obviously DoubleT's client decided that mine was am invalid one and stored that information for ever. I don't think a manual remove from the client.met is the best solution. I'd prefer recheck that could be initiated from the context menue leaving the other informations in the file untouched. Or if appliable an automatic recheck every n weeks for the invalid clients. Maybe the circumstances for a failed suid are gone. So the permanent storage in the client.met is no smart way. As seen in our experience. |
