Up until recently, emule worked perfectly. Now, whenever I try to start it, only the menu loads. A screenshot of this is available at http://hitokiri.ath.cx/emule/emule-main-blank.jpg , so long as my internet connection doesn't destroy itself, which it does sometimes. Anyways, the only change to my settings that has occured recently was telling it to notify on a disconnect, rather than on a file finish. I also reinstalled it after it stopped working. Any ideas?

@ rel4x
Which version do you use?

1) Enable logs, there should be a problem reported.
when e+ is closed edit preferences.ini and set following values:
QUOTE(preferences.ini)
[eMule]
Verbose=1
LogToFile=1
BugReport=1
CMNotLog=1

start e+ and when it happens again, open debug.log and lookout for errors and "exception"

2) Try to delete known.met file in the config directory.

Be aware that by deleting known.met you're losing file statistics and all shared files will be rehashed (so keep a backup for the "if it wasn't that").

Try deleting preferences.ini and servers.met. If this works, install emule+ to a dummy location (not the one used now) and copy servers.met from there to the present config directory.

And remember to let us know what worked for you. If there is a vulnerability somewhere, we'd like to fix it so that it doesn't happen again. Thanks.

Deleting GUI.dat fixed it right up :-) Thanks a bunch to everyone who responded so quickly though!
