Hi!
I have a question about my temp directory that is very large. I discovered in the menu preferences > general > directories the option to add another temp folder. I have chosen another disc on my computer but emule won't use it. Maybe I don't get the idea of the option described above wrong?

If you specify an additional temp folder, you need to tell e+ which files will use that temp folder. The default temp folder is the one specified in the second box from the top.

You can use the category tabs to sort your downloads and change the temp folder that category will use in Edit category.

Or you can set the new temp folder as the default, but remember to set the existing temp folder as an additional temp folder or your existing downloads will vanish! You need to restart e+ if you choose this method.

Thank you! I'm grateful but have to admit that I can't find the things you describe. Where in e+ are the catgory tabs, and where can I enter this: Edit category??

On the transfer page. Right click the little grey rectangle just below the arrow for Downloads and select add category.

It doesn't work! I did everything as described, but e+ continues to use only the *old* temp folder. I rebooted the computer, but it just won't work. ...

It will work for new files added to such categories.
You can't move existing temp files without closing the client and moving them by hand.
