I right clicked two users with the same name: h**p://emule-project.net (i hate those names) Anyways, they both granted me access to see their files. When i click the "search" window, instead of two tabs showing up, one for each users, only one tab is displayed. This tab has the name of the user (as above) with the number "2" in round parenthesis like this QUOTE http://emule-project.net (2) What's this? I can't separate them. I'd like to know what each user has so I can add the one with the files I need to my friends list. When i click on the "X", it closes everything (both users' shared files). My settings in eplus are at default (I only dloaded e-plus 2 days ago). This seems like a bug. felipe |

Grrr! I hate those default names too. At least our devs had the sense to give the user a randomly generated Nick on first install.
It is not easy to decide what to do under these circumstances. I'm sure there will be long and argumentative discussions on what would be the best approach to tackle the problem. Do we show the IP address along with the Nick, or the userhash? Is there enough room for the tabs? How about a tooltip for each tab? There is a similar problem in messaging. For now, may I recommend that you request the shared files from such clients one client at a time? Request from one, see what you have to see, etc. and close the tab before requesting the other client to show his files. Not a happy situation, I admit, but that's all that can be done until this is fixed. btw, if you just add the files you need, the client that has the files will show up as a source, and then you can add him to your friends list. |

@Felipe
(2) means number of the entries in the list. What is your screen resolution/emule plus window width? Try to check the log to see a result of file list request. |

QUOTE(muleteer @ Dec 30 2005, 14:37) Grrr! I hate those default names too. At least our devs had the sense to give the user a randomly generated Nick on first install. ![]() I remember a function "funny nicks" in some mods long ago which changed all those default names to some funny names (with a "funny nick" tag) of random combined words. IIRC this feature stored this nicks somewhere related to user hash so the same client gets always the same funny nick on every restart. This would be a great enhancement for eMule+ too |
