Full Version: Average Upload Speed in Client Details is wrong
eMule Plus Forums > Development > Bug Reports
Towelie
Hi,
when I open the Client Details and go to the tab Transfer to see, what the average upload speed from this user is, I can only see the CURRENT upload speed, not the average upload speed..
when the uploadprocess from this user stops, the average upload speed goes for example from 10 to 0 .. oO
please fix this or rename the label for this info wink.gif

so long, towelie

I can confirm, it's following current upload speed.

All client rates are average rates, as they are calculated over some period of time.

Aw3: I think his gripe is that the rate shown is for the current download session, not the overall transfer rate.

Towelie: the problem with that is the waiting time.
If we take it into account, the average transfer rate becomes miniscule. It might have been weeks since you downloaded something from that client.
If we don't, then the same complaint stands; we'd have to add a label: waiting time excluded, or something like that. And then you would want to know the average waiting time. tongue.gif wallbash.gif laugh.gif

IMO what might be more interesting is the peak average transfer rate. I'd be more interested in, say, whether the client in question uploads at 3KB/s or 8KB/s (that's my max download speed tongue.gif but you get the drift). Then I'd know that this client is capable to transferring to me at high speed.

Rate goes down to 0 because it decreases when client doesn't send you data, as it isn't constant uploading it's absolutely normal

I think what he wants is average calculation to be stopped when client stops uploading
