After upgrading from 1.2A to 1.2B all servers now tell me that the designated port is unreachable and assign a lowid. I have set my router (netgear WGR614v6) to reserve the ip 192.168.1.120 for the computer in question, and forward the needed ports in both TCP and UDP. It used to work until the last upgrade (in the past, an upgrade would occasionally do the same, and the next upgrade will fix it). I have tried changing the ports in question but no luck. I have a variety of other programs that forward perfectly an windows firewall is completely disabled.

HOW did you upgrade??

Are you 110% sure, it's the same ports??

1. Check that the ports forwarded in the router are the same ones that the client (eMule Plus) is using. They have to match in both places for portforwarding to work.

2. When the exe of an application changes (as in when you upgrade) the firewall detects the change and treats it as a different application (in case the change is caused by a virus or trojan) so the old rules don't apply any longer.

Delete the rules in your firewall for emule.exe. Now when you start eMule Plus, the firewall will ask you again. Give emule.exe full permission to connect to and accept incoming connections from the internet.

EDIT: Windows Firewall has a strange way of turning itself back on if no other firewall is installed. IMO this is a good thing. You must have one firewall in place at all times. Running a computer connected to the internet without 1. antivirus, 2. firewall and 3. anti spyware is asking for trouble.

Problem solved... A clean install fixed the problem.
