Check your firewall. You might need to delete the rules for the previous version of eMule Plus and create the rules again for the new version.

Regarding search result, some servers are not good in this aspect, even though they are otherwise fine. Try connecting to a better server.

Which firewall are you using? You need to go into the configuration/advanced settings for that firewall. Look for a section where it says 'program control' or 'application blocking' or something like that, where it will show you a list of applications that are allowed to access the internet. Find 'eMule Plus' or 'emule.exe' in that list and delete it.

Now when you start eMule Plus, the firewall will ask you again something like 'emule.exe is trying to access the internet. What do you want to do?' with options to allow or block. Give emule.exe full access, both to connect to the internet and to receive connections from the internet.

generally firewall bases exception rules on PID (process ID) if you've updated your client this has a different PID, so If you can't remove previuos rule just create a new one adding eMule Plus, if you can't do it pleas use Live Help by clicking on the IRC button and entering #emule+your-language (i.e. #emule+german) and ask there...

i dont have problem with connecting but the problem is .. when i search no seach result like before and if the search is very slowly example
i seach in razorback server about anything the result appear at ones and i get 300 result of search
but now with the emule plus 1.2d no result and when the result appear it appear after 10 second and the result reach to 10 .. not like before 300 result
ad when i try to connect to any server from 100 server i can connect to 4 server very bad version before from 2005 until this version emule plus is the best p2p program but now i think they will be close it
please help if anybody can help

It could be a firewall probelm, or at leat incorrect configuration, try deleting alla servers in the list and updating server list again...

what language are you using to search? or better do you use non-latin letters by search?

english search but still the problem with servers not like before

1. Which firewall are you using?

2. Which antivirus are you using?

3. Which anti spyware are you using?

4. Which version of Windows are you using? XP, XPSP2, Vista (home basic, business, home premium, ultimate), Vista SP1 etc.

5. Have you patched tcpip.sys?

I love to see the unicode support in 1.2d at first, but then I found the same problem as searky mentioned, especially when i do the search two or more times at a short interval.

In a way I'm glad, because now we'll get a better class of feedback. More details please. If you can't post the names you are searching for, send them to me in a PM.


Ouch! That sounds like server blacklisting. Some of these servers are really bad when it comes to searches. Even some of the Razorback servers don't do well.
