Hi Folks,

Could use some help or explanation why a download of a file 10.36 Gb in size does not download - clicking or manual select download does not start the download.

Current set max source per file 400 / sourece exchange is disabled
download temp folder 1 has 16Gb free space / temp folder 2 has 46Gb free space

Have searched for explanation and looked at FAQ - no answer found for or regarding large file information. unsure.gif

What is the file system? You need NTFS.

What does the log say?

Have you enabled debug log? What does that say about this file/link?

Thanks for quick reply Muleteer,

I am on NTFS file system - Win XP Pro SP 3 - all latest updates and patches loaded.
But use fat32 disk to save on - is that my problem ?

Disk capacity on this system is 1040Gb approx 300+ free at any one time.

After telling eMule to load the ed2k file nothing happend until I closed and restarted when it then asked if I wanted to add the file to Download (transfer) - I said yes.

error in Log = 24/07/2008 13:11:06: Failed to open XXXXXXXXXXXXX.iso (filesystem doesn't support files larger than 4GB)

? So is there a setting in eMule for this ?

Hi Folks,

My problem was that the HDD to save the larger files on had to be NTFS file system to cope with the 10.36 Gb file size.

Had my thinking cap on back to front.

Changed the drive to NTFS and the file is now downloading

thanks for help - NTFS ? from Muleteer was the trigger that set me in the right direction to solve the problem.
