Hello. I seem to be having a very strange problem. I am able to connect to a server just fine, in fact I have an established connection on eDonkeyServer No1 I have a client ID number, my firewall ports are open, my credit file is loaded, my shared files were found, IP filters loaded, I have the latest fake list...everything appears to be fine at start up, but I am not uploading or downloading to any clients and the search function is not working.

Both my u/l and d/l speed have remained 0.00 for more than two hours now and the search function does not produce any results when I try server search or global search. It's like I'm connected but completely invisible. I have some popular files so I don't understand why no clients are connecting to my computer. I never experienced this type of behavior before. The upload client window remains empty. And I can't select any files to download because the search doesn't work. Any suggestions please, I'm not sure why this is happening since everything started up just fine.

Thank you! crying.gif biggrin.gif

Try to use different server. Does it work if you add files directly (not through search results)?

Thank you for the response. I have tried using the search after connecting to several different servers and it doesn't work on any server. Also I have no one clients waiting in my que and I am not uploading files to any clients. I have 90 known files and 1 part file according to the log. I've never had a problem sharing my files in the past, in fact almost immediately after connecting to a server they would start downloading from me. Now zero, it's like my client is connected but invisible. I connect to a server and nothing else happens.

Can anyone please offer me a suggestion on what the problem would be? It seems like a waste of time for my client to be connected to a server for hours and not have any activity at all with other clients. No one wants my files sad.gif That's very sad. And it doesn't make sense that I'm connected to a sever but I don't seem to be able to exchanging information with the server, can't search the server and don't connect to other clients so no u/l or d/l happening at all.

Which antivirus and firewall do you have? Some antivirus suites have a worm protection feature that blocks incoming connections by default and needs to be configured properly or disabled.

Also try deleting the rules for emule.exe in your firewall and creating the rules again to allow full access to emule.exe.

Which part of the world are you from? Perhaps your ISP is blocking emule traffic. sad.gif

P.s. Don't forget to reboot. Sometimes Windows networking get stuck in an unstable state and needs the reboot to restore full functionality.

I have eset nod32 and I use windows XP firewall. Neither have ever given me a problem in the past and I have been able to run utorrent successfully so I don't think my ISP is blocking p2p. But I don't know I'm in NYC so who knows what they are capable of, anything is possible.

I did already tried to reset the firewall with new emuleplus.exe exception but it didn't help.

I'm just confused because my log specifically says I have established a connection with the server, it recognizes I have 92 files and 1 part file, I have an I.D. and a userhash, sse optimized all systems are go... but I don't have any incoming or out going connections. I have also rebooted, but still the same.

Maybe I need to install the emuleplus files again, I don't know what else to do.

Try installing eMule standard version ( http://emule-project.net ) and run that with obfuscation enabled. The ed2k protocol is different from torrent, so perhaps the ISP is only blocking ed2k and not torrents.

I've heard that NOD32 has issues. unsure.gif Maybe Aw3 has more information.

Application binary is called emule.exe not emuleplus.exe.

eDonkeyServer No1 and No2 from time to time have weird issues when they don't accept your files and as a result don't spread you to other sources searching for them.

Try with TVU DonkeyServer No1: ed2k://|server|89.248.174.84|6543|/

About NOD32 read here:
