Earlier I was a lowID user and searches returned more than 900 entries. After I changed my Router and manage to get rid of the lowID I maybe get 10 entries returned for the same searches.
I am using Windows Firewall and AVG anti-virus. Earlier I used Norman Internet security
The Router was earlier DLink D624, now I am using DLink 655

Nothing to do with LowID or routers, I'm afraid. The problem is that the servers aren't doing their job like they used to. 
Try connecting to another server and repeating the search.

I also discovered that search for one word works to a certain extent , but using two or more words that appear in the search result returns nothing.
What has happened, is it server version related?
I see most of the servers list 17.xx as the version in Emule+.

I sometimes get better search results using Google with the term ed2k added to the file name. Try to find a decent ed2k release site and get your links from there.
