Full Version: Bug on IRC

Hi, we are posting here because we found a bug in the lastest version of eMule Plus 1.2d. At the channels of the IRC, we found out that the URLs are not caught properly when they are too long and are separated in diferent lines because of the return. When we click on them our browser doesn't identify the whole direction. We suspect that it could be the version we have in eMule Plus (SMIRCv00.68) and would hope it has a solution in the next version for the benefit of our users. Thanks.

How does it work with eMule Plus versions before 1.2d?
How long should link be to have this problem?
Where does broken link come from? From another eMule Plus user?

First of all, I would like to say that we've only tried versions of eMule Plus 1.2c and 1.2d and they both have the same problem.
Second point ... the link breaks if it's too long and does'nt fit in one line, the return breaks it to another line.
And third point .... for example in our topic we have the link to the Spanish FAQ and it is really long (99 characters) and does'nt fit all in a line depending on the size letter the user has.

Thanks again and thanks for answering so soon.

The issue is fixed. Thanks for your report -- nice catch as the problem is quite old and a lot of IRC links were incorrect because of it. It's very strange that nobody reported it...

Unfortunately, links will look different from now on. They will be underlined and in blue (like standard link highlighting). I don't consider this is a problem, plus it will look identical to all other similar windows, like chat and logs.

As a side benefit output to all log windows is much more faster now, especially for IRC (which was about 10 times slower than others).

P.S. BTW, there's no need to increase font size in your posts -- it looks ugly...
