Hi Guys,

I've installed Emule today, never used it before.

When I try to download, I get the message, "Error: Failed to create Part file"

Please help me figure this out, and I must warn you, I'm quite slow when it comes to computer related technical thingamajigs, so I would probably require a sort of step by step procedure to get rid of this error!

Please Please Help! crying.gif

I'm using Windows XP, I'm the only user on this computer. I've set up paths for the incoming and temporary folders for emule.

Cheers guys! happy.gif

You will get a more detailed description in the log on the servers page. Most probably you do not have enough free space on the partition on which the temp folder is situated.

Are you using the NTFS file system or FAT32? Right click the hard disk icon in My Computer and select 'properties' to see this information.

In some cases problems arise when you have set your temp folder in the same folder that Windows is using for something else, e.g. C:\windows\temp or My Documents. These are system folders and Windows handles them differently from regular folders.
