I can not open anything that I download. all that happens when I go to open is it opens IE and goes to webfetti website. My computer saying that everthing that I download is malware. This not the only version that's doing this. I've been useing eMule since 2002 I've never had a problem till recently.

1. Get a good antivirus/ anti spyware application, and keep it updated.
2. This is typical behaviour for malware that has changed the homepage of your browser, or registry settings that open a browser window to that site whenever you open a file.

3. A less extreme case is when you have downloaded a license protected video (.wmv and .asf file types are the worst, but not the only offenders). In such cases, when you open the file, the media player sends you off to that site to buy the license needed to play the file.

It is highly recommended to get your ed2k links from a trusted eMule release website. Good sites post trusted and verified links, and even offer assistance in getting the proper codecs etc.

Remember to enable and update your ipfilter. Also, keep your server list clean. You'll have very few servers, but these will be good.
