I used to use the old version of Emule on my old laptop, so new goes with new tongue.gif

Anyway, I find it really annoying that when I start downloading a file, it will of course not complet in a day. With the old version it was alright, I closed the Emule, turned the laptop off and the next day with startup downloading would resume, but with this vesrsion it doesn't.

Is there a setting I have missed that fixes this problem. I even tried pausing the download before turning Emule off but it doesn't work. Even having had ove 60% of the file downloaded it still started with 0 the next day mad.gif

So H E L P, please unsure.gif

Please enable (in preferences) the debug log and save logs to disk to help troubleshoot this issue. Lokk for lines like 'no part files found or .part.met corrupted. Open the temp folder and see what happens to the files there when you close eMulePlus.

Are you logged in to your laptop as an admnistrator? If not, do you have adequate permissions for the temp folder that eMulePlus is using? Avoid using system folders for this. E.g., the program files and documents folders are not recommended. There is another thread that talks about downloaded files disappearing after completion, but that is probably not applicable in your case.

How much time are you giving eMulePlus to close down properly? If your laptop has a disk activity indicator/led, please keep an eye on that and turn off the laptop only after eMulePlus has finished writing to disk.

Do let us know how you get on. We are here to help.smile.gif

First of all paused downloads never resume on startup. You don't really need to pause download before you close the application.

The way it sounds, you have some issues with disk access or available space. Follow the advices provided by muleteer.

For cases when download is at 0 on the next start, check file details on this file -- Tranfer tab. Check Size on disk, Transferred, Completed size, etc.
