I don't know under which circumstances that happens, but I saw it already in v1j and now again in v1k.

I have two rare files in the download queue, and one source (my friend) has the same parts like I do. But emule is switching every second the file for my friend, I might have to do something with the A4AF. Maybe someone knows this problem, its hard to reproduce or debug, thats why I'm asking here first

what do you mean by switching?

well, in one second my client is asking my friend for "file 1", discovers that he doesnt have any parts I need, he switches "file 2", no parts either, switching back to "file 1"... aso for ever, I dont know if I really ask him or if it is just switching on my side w/o really asking him. The next time I see it I'll ask him if he can see what i'm doing.

Oh, one more thing... if I open a chatsession to him, I get a "disconnected" message every second... strange things are going on here

File switching is a known problem/bug. You can try pause/resume to stop this.

ok not a good solution, but maybe the only way to stop that hammering...

I think the only solution is that for each client not only the list with "otherfiles" is kept, there has to be a second list with the last ask time, and if this is less than the reask limit no switch should be done. Good solution?

IIRC there was already something like that but I think there is a bug and so it's not always working as expected.
